Richard L. Brown has broad experience in all types of commercial litigation, including professional liability, employment, contract disputes, financial institutions and trade secret litigation

Mr. Brown, has had successful experience in all types of commercial litigation, including employment, bankruptcy and trade secrets litigation. During his career, he has developed a particular expertise in the professional liability area where he has successfully defended attorneys, accountants, real estate agents, insurance agents and officers and directors of corporations and homeowners associations. He also has a great deal of experience in representing corporate clients in transactional and contract review evaluations as well as litigation matters.

Mr. Brown was lead trial counsel for Alcan Aluminum Corporation in both the federal court clean up action and the state court personal injury action by 4,000 plaintiffs relating to the Stringfellow Toxic Waste Disposal site in Riverside County. He also was defense counsel for a long-time client who was involved in the breast implant litigation and another long-time client who was involved in asbestos litigation and has represented a number of different clients in product liability actions. Mr. Brown has also represented a California State Lottery winner in various legal matters over the last 7 years.

Mr. Brown graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1976 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Thereafter, he attended the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he graduated cum laude in 1979. His law school achievements include receipt of a commendation from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers for distinguished achievement in the art and science of advocacy.

Prior to founding Julander, Brown & Bollard, Mr. Brown was of-counsel to Chapman, Fuller & Bollard from 1996 to 1997. Prior to that, Mr. Brown was employed as an associate and partner with the law firm of Barton, Klugman & Oetting from 1982 to 1996.
